Mozilla Suite and Skype extra for 2.28Hello Saxa,
I've finished the build scripts (and packages) for the Mozilla Suite (including a meta script for firefox). At this moment I am building the latest stable version of mozilla-thunderbird. With redos.si down, where should I upload the packages to since I don't have an account at .dropline? Btw, I've also added a contrib build script for Skype. - Tiago "Salvador" Souza ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us! Re: Mozilla Suite and Skype extra for 2.28Tiago great !!!!
Parabens, sorry but I dont know what with redos is going on, since I'm away from home it will probably be down. I have also talked to Z lately to create new users on dlg.org but he is probably busy. Please use some kind of service you can find or send it to me by e-mail. Re: Mozilla Suite and Skype extra for 2.28Mmmm.... why skype ?
Don't get me wrong ... i'm not trying to tell anyone what must what must not be a part of dlg /and i know i don't have vote here/ ... but skype is but skype is 32bit only , non free, qt based software ... i just can't see what's got to do with dl ... N.B.: I'm asking of pure curiousity! I'm not expressing opinion or something ... just curious :) p.s.: oh ..and I got to say ... i'm not against the idea of including skype ... again , pure curiousity :)

Re: Mozilla Suite and Skype extra for 2.28i'm not 100% sure but i think skype uses non open protocol ... so to the best of my knowledge there's no alternative for 64bit linux ...the only alternatives using their /skype's/ protocol that i know of , are for symbian .... btw i just found this : http://share.skype.com/sites/linux/ ... as they say... there's currently no 64bit version... it's under development but ...as I remember the video support for linux took them about 1 - 1.5 year .. so ,who knowz when will they be ready. |

Re: Mozilla Suite and Skype extra for 2.28If a packages gets into the svn repo and is under extras/ doesnt mean
it will be shipped with DLG. This is a scripts repo and in my opinion would be good if we can keep that scripts repo updated so whatever version we do we have the extras scripts ready for whom wants to use them with the DBS to build *his/her own packages* by just checking out the svn repos scripts. I personally use skype and not for this would wote to include it in DLG , just if you want to know my opinion. But I like to see the script in the svn so I can build my own package of it. I know lots of us do use Skype for a multitude of reasons, I will be hosting the package myself once I get a location but this will allow people who sync to our SVN to have the ease of building a package for skype instead of polluting their file system. If people disagree though I can take it off.
