My 2009.1 is extremely unstable

Maybe two or three times a day I get thrown back to a login page, without
warning, and regardless of what I was doing.  My logs are saturated with
Martian Source messages, that appear to be this laptop checking in with the
router.  What the **** is going on?

There are a couple of bug reports about random X crashes. (There may
be others that my search criteria did not find.)

The first of these sounds similar to what you are experiencing.
