Mythbrowser 0.21 flashI have a question about using Flash in Mythbrowser.
I wasn't able to use it with 0.20, but I should be able to in 0.21
I am using Mythbuntu 7.10 and MythTV 0.21 updated from the backports.
Websites with flash work fine in Firefox outside of MythTV, but when I go to those same websites in Mythbrowser, I receive the a message that says the website "requires Flash Player 9 or higher."
I downloaded it and ran the update, but the only program it says it installs it for is Firefox. Am I doing something wrong? How can I get Flash to work in Mythbrowser.

AFAIK, MythBrowser is based on Konquerer/KDE, not Firefox so your tests are probably futile. Look into how to add Flash support to Konquerer

I just set this up yesterday. I use gentoo, but the process should be similar. You need to install ... konqueror nsplugins netscape-flash Those are gentoo emerge names, but you should be able to figure it out for mythbuntu. When that's all installed run konqueror under the same user mythfrontend runs as. Go to Settings->Configure Konqueror Scroll down on the left and select "Plugins" Click "Scan for New Plugins" When it's done, if you click on the Plugins tab it should show flash. Close Konqueror Open a flash site in mythbrowser, should work. _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list mythtv-users@... http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users |

Re: Mythbrowser 0.21 flashDoesn't seem to be working for Mythbuntu.
Here is a discussion about others having the same issue: http://www.backports.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=715604 When I go to Settings->Configure Konqueror There aren't any settings available for me to configure. I tried using Gnash, but the flash video wasn't showing up. Greg Mischel Smith KCMO
