in Pt Reyes National Seashore. (Dan Nelson, Brad Graham)
From the main parking lot walk across the new bridge
as if you were walking towards the beach. Make a right turn before the dunes
and walk about a quarter mile (to one-half mile) until you reach some
30-40 foot high Monterey Cypress (last ones). At the last Monterey pine,
turn left towards the beach. Walk through the dunes to the beach itself.
There is some bull kelp up around the dunes, Keep going. The bird was
50-100 yards further where north. Some times hiding in the kelp strands.
