NS 2.30, Getting started, NEED HELP!!!

Hey guys

I recently installed NS 2.30 all in one in Fedora 8.
I wanna make sure its been isntalled properly and i wanna run a sample simulation?
Does any one have a proper tutorial for begginers, that never used NS 2 before?
I found few NS 2 tutorials  on the net but they are too complicated not for begginers
