NWI and "streams" presentation style

Just an idea, have you pondered the possibility to include "stream"
containers ( as defined in
http://www.infovis.net/printMag.php?lang=2&num=70 ) in the design of
NWI?

This would give support to interfaces like Apple's "rolling dvd cases"
and Windows' Vista "Flip 3D" switcher.

I fail to see how the proposal in the article relates to NWI, could
you be more specific?

KDE has both features available for the Alt-tab dialogue. I assume
that you would like to see them for the list of recent applications /
documents as well, as seems to be the proposal in the fine article?

No, I'm thinking of having Streams as a type of visualization for the
user-created containers.

I linked to the article to show what I mean by a "streams" view.

NWI allows users to place groups of windows in containers, and switch
the presentation style for those windows (grid, FAI, MDI, tabbed).
Adding the streams view to NWI would allow the user to show that
particular user-defined window collection as an ordered flow of
windows. Current implementations of this feature by the major desktops
only allow it for predefined sets of windows, such as "windows in
current workspace" or "all windows".

Would this be another container type, or a way of implementing a
switcher? Either should be do-able, though I think I would need more
convincing why you would want a container like this :-). (Actually I
think there will already be s switcher like this, at least if we make
current flip switch work with NWI.)
