Hi all,

Nature Letters- Specific synapses develop preferentially among sister ....in the neocortex- Yu et al.

Can somebody explain me what a "radial clone" is? I thought functional columns mean ||||||  
but fig 1 shows neurons one over another vertically. I thought radial means side by side horizontal columns.
Sorry for my ignorance cos i am new to the field.
