I've installed the x86_64 version of jre 1.6.0_17 but I don't see how and what
soft link to put into the mozilla plugin directory. Can someone please help me
with that?

libjavaplugin.so -> /etc/alternatives/libjavaplugin.so.x86_64

That's what's in /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins on my laptop....

On my system, fedora 12 beta, /etc/alternatives/libjavaplugin.so.x86_64 is a
link to IcedTea's plugin. Unfortunately I can't use IcedTea so I need the plugin
to point to Sun's java module which I can't find. Maybe I should ask Sun?

For Sun's 64-bit plugin I have the link

libnpjp2.so -> [your_jre_installation_directory]/jre/lib/amd64/libnpjp2.so

I'm still using 1.6.0_13, don't know if 1.6.0_17 is doing things the
same way or not.

Steve
