Need help with uninstalling...

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this question but I've been Googling this problem for over 4 hours tonight and finally decided to post for help.

Long story short, my grandpa passed away Tuesday morning.  It was expected, so a large group of family members have been staying with my grandparents.  One of them decided to install QuickFreedom (iPod jailbreaking software) on my grandma's Vista computer.  It also installs LibUSB-Win32.  It screwed up all of the USB ports on the computer, so none of them work in Windows (work o.k. in the BIOS, though).

It's a newer Dell computer and only has USB - no PS2 connections, so no keyboard or mouse control in Windows.  No restore points (someone disabled System Restore at some point).  I can put the drive in an external enclosure and access it from my XP machine.  I tried moving all references to "libusb" to my local machine, which didn't help.  It's still not loading the USB drivers for Vista.

Any thoughts on 1) when LibUSB installs, what files does it add/replace or 2) if there is a manual uninstall I can do to replace the files through my XP machine?  I assume LibUSB backups all of the original files somewhere?

My other thought was to add the uninstall.exe to the Startup folder in Vista, so when it boots into Vista, it would automatically uninstall LibUSB.  Problem is, when I double-click on the install in XP, it asks "if I'm sure I want to uninstall".  Since I have no keyboard or mouse ability in Vista, there is no way for me to respond to the confirmation.  Is there a command line switch that will override the warning?  I could create a .bat file to place in the startup directory if that's the case.

I'd rather not re-install Vista if I don't have to, so you folks are my last hope.  I appreciate any thoughts you can share.

Matt
