Netbeans 6.5 vs 5.5

As we know it will be always better to use new versions of softwares.
Especially Netbeans because in each version they come up with really creative ideas.
Netbeans 6.5 is the best IDE for JAva.You can import any java project into Netbeans 6.5 even Ecplipse projcet..
But Unfortunately if you decided to develope ImageJ image processing open source software you are simply wasting your time in finding the way to get rid off the errors.
But luckily it works very well in Netbeans 5.5 version...

If  any one  can  find solution for  this  please  help me...
