               Netiquette Hints for our Group

Hi Everyone! We post these suggestions here near the middle of
each month to help our members communicate effectively with our
group. They are not aimed at any specific individual, (but if you
don't trim your posts, this is a friendly reminder that you
should.)  :^)

TRIM YOUR REPLIES;
Please remove unnecessary information from your posts, such as
headers and footers. When quoting from a previous message it is only
necessary to include the e-mail address of the original poster and
quote only the text that pertains specifically to your reply, not the
entire message. This streamlines your answer. A good rule of thumb is
not to have the material you quote be longer than your reply.

Daily Digest subscribers, please be careful not to re-post the entire
digest with your reply.

KEEP SUBJECT HEADERS UPDATED;
If you start a new thread or when the topic drifts, remember to
provide a new header for the thread. This will help other members
scan subject lines quickly to find information on a particular topic.

Before hitting "send", please take a minute to read and edit your
post to be sure it is a useful, positive and polite addition to our
discussions.

Thanks for being a part of Yahoo's Backpacking Light group! Posting
your questions, experiences, thoughts and observations here brings
valuable information to other lightweight and ultralight hikers.

We wish you all excellent and safe lightweight hiking!
