Hey All--

The WMF fundraising team will have a new member starting today: Megan
Hernandez.

Megan recently graduated from UC San Diego with a degree in Human
Development and a minor in Spanish Literature. Previously, Megan has
worked with the American Cancer Society and spent time as a volunteer
coordinator at Mundo De Ninos Children's Shelter in Peru.

She will be working as Development Associate
(http://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Development_Associate) and will
immediately be diving into providing support for the Annual Fundraiser.

Please help me in making Megan feel welcome.

-Rand

Welcome, Megan!  As Anthere says - you've picked an excellent week to
join.

Just out of curiosity, is a degree in Human Development all about how
we progressed from bronze to iron age and so on and so on?

Excellent to have a Spanish speaker, should help Wikimedia spread
further into other cultures, languages.

My sister has a human development degree.  In her case, it was about
the physical, psychological, and social changes that occur to
individuals over the course of a single human lifetime.  Good for
understanding people's wants, needs, and expectations.

Ah, I see. So not from bronze to iron age. More infant to adolescent.

So, in what stage of human development is Wikimedia? I think it may be
a teenager :o)
