New Marine Internships Abroad from Global Vision InternationalDear Sir or Madam:
Your students can gain valuable personal and professional development, fieldwork experience and new qualifications on a marine internship with Global Vision International after or during their studies. Internships are available for periods from 5 to 20 weeks on a variety of GVI programs within the fields of marine research. GVI's Marine Internships combine all the training and support included on any GVI program with additional support from a specific staff supervisor, weekly reviews, assessments, reflection periods and a final evaluation. Longer-term internships also allow applicants the opportunity to apply for paid or unpaid work overseas. Many university students also find these are a great way to spend their Year Abroad. The Marine Internship develops your student's scuba diving, research and field skills and their understanding of marine conservation. They may attain skills and experience essential to working within a research team, such as: * PADI Coral Reef Research Diver Distinctive Specialty, * PADI Advanced Open Water, * PADI Rescue Diver * PADI Dive Master certifications (excluding PADI professional fees) * First Aid & CPR training (Emergency First Response Certification) * DAN O2 delivery course * Formal academic qualifications in Biological Survey Techniques or Team Leading * Coral reef ecology * Turtle ecology and monitoring protocol all year round * Diving compressor training workshop with practical experience * Environmental education * Interpersonal skills and leadership skills These new and exciting GVI Marine Internships really develop a students professional scuba diving skills, personnel management, teamwork, leadership and marine conservation knowledge and skills that would provide valuable practical experience and enhance their academic studies.
