New Troopmaster web programTroopmaster just released a beta version of their new web based program! It looks like you will be able to sync this web program with your copy of troopmaster and set up passwords for members of your troop to see the data on a web site. You can sign up to beta test it from their products page. There is also a demo of it on that page.

Re: New Troopmaster web programDo you really expect TSI to just give away the fruits of their labor for free? I will happily pay for a web-based option to allow my parents to be enabled to see their Scout's information. The question I have, will we be able to give the Parents access to *just* their Scout's information, instead of giving them "read-only" access to the entire Troop? This would be sort of like posting a classroom's whole grade report... Be careful what you ask for... if you want FREE, then don't come back and complain it doesn't ring every bell and whistle every tune! --- In TMTUG@..., "Greg Hetzler" <hetz3@...> wrote: > > BTW, we are not going to have to pay more for web version, are we? Re: Re: New Troopmaster web programNo, I don't expect them to give away the fruits of the labor. However, I
see this as more of a program update to DotNet. I don't see the need for any one unit to use both DotNet and a web-based option. As they offer a three year license for DotNet, it would leave many units unwilling to pay for the same type of functionality (ie: many users being able to use the program) until their DotNet license expires. I realize there are people here who will pay anything TSI asks. However, I think there are at least as many of us here who started to feel nickle and dimed when TSI took away the satellite function from Troopmaster and expected us to fork over more money for DotNet.
