Hi,

I'm a new user of Mono Develop and i'm building a console application which connects to a remote mySQL DB, i am using an ODBC connection but that is not working. I also have the MySQL.Data.dll library but that is not working either. Could anyone help me find out what i'm doing wrong. Thank You very much

It's very difficult to provide help for vague diagnostic information
as "X and Y don't work."  Don't work how?  Do they throw exceptions?
Do they hang?  Does the phase of the moon matter?

Hi Patrick,

What do you mean by 'doesn't work'? What errors do you get?

Personally I would avoid odbc and speak sybase/ mssql directly.

Oh mysql. Sorry. I have had this working well here but needed to build  
the mysql stuff for myself and use that,
