New autokernBefore autokern dialog had fields for entering separately left and right symbols
for kerning pairs. It is reasonable since pairs for capital-capital, capital- small and small-small may have different spacing. Moreover it should be such the pairs like letter-punctuation, but not vice versa. -- Andrey V. I'm not sure what the above is saying, but would note that Irish and presumably other languages can have small-capital pairs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us! It did. You can still do this with scripting. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us! Fontforge also had an option to add only negative values of kerning (make letters closer). -- Andrey V. Re: New autokernIn my opinion it is reasonable to unify the dialog for changing a kerning pair
(kern_class2.png) with its parent dialog for editing kerning classes (kern_class1.png), for example displaying it or its part with pair below the kerning table. Permanent calling the child dialog is inconvenient. And it is inconvenient to work with non-ASCII glyph names like "afii10017". It would be better to add its unicode character in parenthesis, that is "afii10017 (А)". It is also inconvinient in the names of tabs in Glyph View window. I just do not remeber the meaning of "afii10017". Also conversion between pairwise kerning and kerning by classes is desirable. -- Andrey V. Permanent calling the child dialog is inconvenient. The dialog is large.
