New development repositoryHi,
For those who are interested, note that I just started some development in a new repository. The goal of this new development is to improve the ability of the driver to scale and/or crop the video to be displayed. Ultimately, it will also allow to use the WSS part of ADV7170 encoders, and hopefully supersede the patch currently distributed by Ville Skyttä. This new repo is available at: http://freehg.org/u/nboullis/em8300-scale-n-crop/ All feedback is welcome. Note that "normal" development is expected to continue on the main branch, including tracking kernel API changes and making releases. I will try to keep this new branch in sync with the main one, and will merge it when I feel it's ready. Anyone who wants to implement any feature is welcome to create his/her own repository just as I did, and to advertize it here. "Release Early, Release Often!" BTW, Christian, how are you doing with that suspend/resume stuff? Sounds great. Note that I have not updated the WSS patch to 0.16.4+ and have no plans to do that - I've not used WSS myself for a while due to the "vibration/interlacedness" problem (which was also briefly discussed here some time ago IIRC) introduced by the patch, and porting the patch to 0.16.4 was more than a few minutes' job. > This new repo is available at: > http://freehg.org/u/nboullis/em8300-scale-n-crop/ > > All feedback is welcome. > > Note that "normal" development is expected to continue on the main > branch, including tracking kernel API changes and making releases. Just to clarify, what is the main branch nowadays? CVS HEAD, the em8300-nboullis hg repo or something else? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event. Do you have any pointer for me to read about that issue? > Just to clarify, what is the main branch nowadays? CVS HEAD, the > em8300-nboullis hg repo or something else? This is the em8300-nboullis hg repo... until someone else takes over the development of the diver...
