Old fathful has got a new life. My old Micromodular has been on a shelf for years, loosing the competition from NM Classic, G2 and others.
But some days ago I bought a Moog Voyager. Today, i began using the Micomodular as external soundsource, like a forth VCO. And if preform excellent, both with old "moogish" leads and other lead sounds. And it can put in some nice overdrive in the Moog too.
This little patch was my first attempt to create a special patch for this purpose, but most leads do well.
Per

hi per, long time no see, i'm still nm-ng. but i forget sending pch's to
the list. i do mostly pch2's an perf's for g2. but there's so much to cover.
all the plugins for my receptor(arp2600, moog v and ems and other goodies),
and my korg legasy with cc-r, that's wild too. nothing like the real thing,
but fun too.
i'll check it out, thx.
best, roland

Per I've been doing similar with my Voyager and G2... great fun.

Sending the moog oscillators pre-filter to the Nord, doing some crazy
digitizing and then back to the moog filter is great too.
I bet the G1 Spectral oscillators sounds great through the moog
filter... I shoulda never let that G1 go!
I have the Moog 351+352 boxes also and have been controlling Moog
parameters from the G2 via a kenton.
(sure I could modulate cc params instead from the G2 but patching is
much more fun...)

Best of both worlds.

And there is a kind of poetry, if you see it as a gigantic tree: I one end,
the power plant transfer falling water or disintegrating uranium to pure
power of 400 000 volt. The other end is complicated structure of patchcords,
delivering 10 v Peak to Peak into modules where even smaller currencies
interact and make music.
And besides: the guy with the biggest amount of cables as he dies, he is the
winner.

Electricity *is* magic.

Absolutely, and rhythmic re-patching is great fun!

One of those joys that I'd never considered after 10 years of virtual
Clavia patching.
