New to GPSBabelI've been trying to check out GPSBabel to see if it will do what I want. So far I'm confused. It says it will convert MS Streets & Trip files to any of the formats, included Comma Separated Values. However when I do this it doesn't pickup up any of the coordinates, plus there's a whole bunch of records unrelated to the waypoints in the S&T file. The comma separated file has all zero's in place of the coordinates. Some of the data is there but even some of this are missing.
The file I used was a simple test file with ten waypoints, POI's, placed on the S&T map. I made sure the Balloon's setting in the Data Set had the coordinates set to show. Not sure if this is necessary or not. Anyway, can anyone help me try and figure this out? |

We say we can convert certain types of data from S&T. Note that waypoint (pushpin) column at http://www.gpsbabel.org/capabilities.shtml does not have a "yes". We figured out the route format but never cracked the nut holding pushpin data. So what you're seeing is probably our best guess at the route data that (to us) just looks malformed. This has been a particularly problematic format for us and we've heard a few reports that it may not work well with 2009. As 2010, released just a few weeks ago, finally added GPX import/export, I frankly doubt that we'll see much work on extending our msroute module from this point.
