Newbie problem: running tutorial

Hi all,

I've just started exploring Repast Simphony and have hit a problem
early on - please can anyone help? I have completed the first tutorial
on the website (gas network) but when I try to run the model using the
"step simulation" button as instructed, things go awry.  On the first
click of the button, the tick counter changes to -1.0.  The
initialise, run, step and stop button then get greyed out and I can't
go any further.  The console output is pasted below, if this helps.
I'm using Mac OS 10.5.1

Eclipse seems a little unstable on my machine - I've had to force quit
twice as it was unresponsive.  I don't know if both problems could
stem from the same issue...?
