Guys, I need to typeset a fairly important yet slightly mathematical document involving undirected graphs,
lines, circles, boxes as well as mathematical formulas and expressions involving summation etc. Totally new
to tex. Where should I start ? I think I have an old web2c implementation of tex on my RH 8.0 linux.
Will need lots of help and will be bothering you, till I learn the ropes. Is there a simple organized commands
list and documentation for tex ?

I think it's better if you use latex. There is plainty of tutorials on the web, e.g. "The not so short introduction to latex". Use kile and texlive.
Drawing picture is the most difficult and slowest part...
