Nexus required memory

Hi to all,

I just upgraded from Nexus OSS 1.3.6 to 1.4.0 and for now it works pretty well.

BTW, at some times, while doing some repositories clean operation, I
found it very slow.
I checked with JConsole and see many Garbage collections.

The JVM was set to -Xms128m/-Xmx128m and Nexus is used in webapp mode
with a simple Tomcat 6.
I raised the limit to -Xms192m/-Xmx192m, and it seems faster now.

Did there is a recommanded heap size for Nexus with the following
proxied repositories :

http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/
http://people.apache.org/repo/m2-snapshot-repository/
http://snapshots.repository.codehaus.org/
http://repository.jboss.com/maven2/
http://download.java.net/maven/1/
http://download.java.net/maven/2/
http://people.apache.org/repo/m2-incubating-repository/
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/openejb/repo/
http://el4.elca-services.ch/el4j/maven2repository:

And 3 internals repositories with about 5000 artifacts.

Regards

More the better since it will allow more of the caching to take place
without disk access.

I know, but did there is a sort of empiric rules ?

ie : x bytes by artifacts ?
