Nexus required memoryHi to all,
I just upgraded from Nexus OSS 1.3.6 to 1.4.0 and for now it works pretty well. BTW, at some times, while doing some repositories clean operation, I found it very slow. I checked with JConsole and see many Garbage collections. The JVM was set to -Xms128m/-Xmx128m and Nexus is used in webapp mode with a simple Tomcat 6. I raised the limit to -Xms192m/-Xmx192m, and it seems faster now. Did there is a recommanded heap size for Nexus with the following proxied repositories : http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/ http://people.apache.org/repo/m2-snapshot-repository/ http://snapshots.repository.codehaus.org/ http://repository.jboss.com/maven2/ http://download.java.net/maven/1/ http://download.java.net/maven/2/ http://people.apache.org/repo/m2-incubating-repository/ http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/openejb/repo/ http://el4.elca-services.ch/el4j/maven2repository: And 3 internals repositories with about 5000 artifacts. Re: Nexus required memoryMore the better since it will allow more of the caching to take place
without disk access. I know, but did there is a sort of empiric rules ? ie : x bytes by artifacts ? > On Mon, Nov 2, 2009 at 11:31 AM, Henri Gomez <henri.gomez@...> wrote: >> Hi to all, >> >> I just upgraded from Nexus OSS 1.3.6 to 1.4.0 and for now it works pretty well. >> >> BTW, at some times, while doing some repositories clean operation, I >> found it very slow. >> I checked with JConsole and see many Garbage collections. >> >> The JVM was set to -Xms128m/-Xmx128m and Nexus is used in webapp mode >> with a simple Tomcat 6. >> I raised the limit to -Xms192m/-Xmx192m, and it seems faster now. >> >> Did there is a recommanded heap size for Nexus with the following >> proxied repositories : >> >> http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/ >> http://people.apache.org/repo/m2-snapshot-repository/ >> http://snapshots.repository.codehaus.org/ >> http://repository.jboss.com/maven2/ >> http://download.java.net/maven/1/ >> http://download.java.net/maven/2/ >> http://people.apache.org/repo/m2-incubating-repository/ >> http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/openejb/repo/ >> http://el4.elca-services.ch/el4j/maven2repository: >> >> And 3 internals repositories with about 5000 artifacts. >> >> Regards >> >> --------------------------------------------------------------------- >> To unsubscribe, e-mail: nexus-user-unsubscribe@... >> For additional commands, e-mail: nexus-user-help@... >> >> > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: nexus-user-unsubscribe@... > For additional commands, e-mail: nexus-user-help@... > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: nexus-user-unsubscribe@...
