No namespace defined for prefix ft

hi
i am using this xquery
//photo[ft:query(., 'vinod')]
it gives an xmldb:exception XPST0081: no namespace defined for prefix ft

can some one shed some light on the error.

You need at least the 1.4rc version of eXist. Also, the Lucene modules
need to be defined in your conf.xml (see the standard conf.xml in the
distribution).
