No recording choice

I am trying to record MIDI with a Wk-3800 casio keyboard. When I play the notes on the keyboard, they're read and I can change tones and effects and everything.
But I'm very confused how I would record. The record options in the song editor sections are grayed out. Is that even the right place to record?
