No source code of JDK 6.0 Update 4 on web siteHi,
I started here: http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/ Then the 7th "Download" button from the top brings me to: http://download.java.net/jdk6/ There I only find the binaries of Build b11, but not the sources. On http://download.java.net/jdk6/ "Previous Snapshot Releases" brings me to: http://download.java.net/jdk6/6u10/archive/ where I only find Update 3 sources, but not Update 4. BTW: on the page there are other errors: "JDK6 Final" and "JDK6u1 Final" take to: http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp ... which is wrong for both, as there is JDK6u4 On https://jdk7.dev.java.net/ "Subversion" takes to: https://jdk7.dev.java.net/source/browse/jdk7/ On trunk I only find the WWW folder, but not the sources of JDK7 http://openjdk.java.net/ "Mercurial repositories" takes to: http://hg.openjdk.java.net/jdk7/jdk7 Also there I can't find any sources. See also: https://java-net.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=418 Regards, Ulf // |

Re: No source code of JDK 6.0 Update 4 on web siteHi Ulf, I believe there is no source for JDK 6 in java.net for now, that will change really soon with the OpenJDK 6 project. I'll see that the pointers for jdk 6 are look into. Please see the rest of my comments embedded. Re: No source code of JDK 6.0 Update 4 on web siteHi Xiomara,
thanks for your fast answer. See my embedded comments ... Sorry about my small understanding in english. You mean, that the links/button targets on http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/?intcmp=1281 especially the one to the "Java SE 6 JDK Source Code" should be updated ? If not, IMHO the "Download"-button for the sources should be removed. Can you please give me a note, when the links are updated? >> >> http://openjdk.java.net/ "Mercurial repositories" takes to: >> http://hg.openjdk.java.net/jdk7/jdk7 >> Also there I can't find any sources. > > That is the source in Mercurial form. > http://hg.openjdk.java.net/ > Thanks, so "Mercurial repositories"-link on http://openjdk.java.net/ should be corrected to http://hg.openjdk.java.net/ ? Also: Communities->OpenJDK <https://openjdk.dev.java.net/> on http://java.sun.com/ is redirected to http://openjdk.java.net/ which ends in "No connection to server of openjdk.java.net" today ??? -Ulf |

Well, I'll look into seeing that it is updated or removed as appropriate. > > Can you please give me a note, when the links are updated? The original pointer http://hg.openjdk.java.net/jdk7/jdk7 is for jdk7, so the link should stay as it is. There is more information in the mail archives for how to pull the source, but that page is down right now. > > Also: Communities->OpenJDK <https://openjdk.dev.java.net/> on > http://java.sun.com/ is redirected to http://openjdk.java.net/ which > ends in "No connection to server of openjdk.java.net" today ???
