No video picture anymore

Everyone,

I have been using Kaffeine 0.8.6-2  and it was working fine one night, then the next morning I tried it and I had no video picture at all.  I have sound but no picture.
This is for all of my movies. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Kaffeine via my Package Manager after Reloading and also Marking All Upgrades. Nothing
has worked. I have looked around in the video settings and have found nothing that has fixed this problem. Any assistance would be appreciated.  I am running the PC Linux OS.

this sounds like a libxine problem. i've had it often after a codec upgrade.
so, you've probably had some modifications in the codecs (like reinstalled
ffmpeg or x264 for example). try reinstalling libxine. then it should
work again.
if it doesn't work, reinstall x264, ffmpeg and then libxine. that should do the
trick. ffmpeg needs to go after x264 and libxine after ffmpeg. also
theora, vorbis,
ac3 go before ffmpeg.

Just for the record: x264 is an encoder and not a decoder, so not
relevant here :)
But right, we depend on libxine and maybe some kind of change happened
there. If tweaking around libxine doesn't help, you could also run
"kaffeine --verbose" in a console and paste its output.
