Node and Element Renumbering in ABAQUS CAE

Hi All,

A primitive yet necessary question. How do I renumber nodes and elements
in a particular Node set or the whole orphan mesh, in ABAQUS/CAE ? I am using 6.9-2.

Yes this is primitive but we can not do this in Abaqus/CAE! This is some
thing to do with basic meshing logic/algorithm of Abaqus/CAE. It
automatically assigns the number (starting from 1) for each
part/instance. We can not control this. You could do this through some
editing of INP file directly in a text editor or through programming or
using tools like Hypermesh/ANSA.
