	Re: Nping tarballs by Luis M.-2 :: Rate this Message: Reply to Author \| View Threaded \| Show Only this Message Hi Henri, When I wrote the internal Nping release scripts I didn't add bzip2 files because in my opinion there is no point on offering both formats since tar.gz can be decompressed on virtually any Unix. Adding another format just adds a bit more complexity when releasing new versions and, with today's inet bandwidth I don't think the better compression ratio offered by bz2 is enough reason to include an additional source package. However, I am willing to change my mind if there are good reasons for it. Why should Nping also be offered in bz2 format? About the sig files, you are right. This is not must, but would be nice to have.
