Nuxeo EP vs DM

I am looking for an ecm for my orgainization, however I am having a hard time understanding the structure of Nuxeo. From what I can gather, Nuxeo EP is an entire portal solution/ecm, which includes DM. If this is the case, all of the links that I have found to download the latest release is a link to the downloads section of the corporate site, which only has DM. If someone could help me understand this further it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Here's a short answer:

- Nuxeo EP is the name of our ECM technology, which includes Nuxeo Core, the set of basic content services such as storage, lifecycle, security, search..., and higher level services as well. In a less abstract way, Nuxeo EP is the set of all the jars that you can download (usually not directly, but using Maven) and assemble in your application server to create the application you need, using only the .

- Nuxeo DM is the name of "default" document management application that we ship both for our users that have generic document management needs (you can of course customise it as needed afterwards), and to showcase the main and most widely used functions of Nuxeo EP.

In other words, Nuxeo EP is the foundation for Nuxeo DM, and Nuxeo DM is a particular application based on Nuxeo EP.

I hope this is clearer now.

Regards,

Hi,

Furthermore, we are building other applications on top of DM :

- Nuxeo Correspondence for "going paperless" projects

- Digital Asset Management, to specifically manage a repository of pictures, video, sound ...

is there, somewhere, a cool block diagram of how all these layers
fit together?  including all the middleware?
