Jim Madras over at the Natural Arts Center has sent the following invitation;
-----------------------
October Free Play Day
Sunday, October 21 - 2:00 to 5:00 pm
It's been a while, but we're starting up the Free Play Day sessions at the dojo again. If you're not familiar with the whole Free Play Day concept, here it is in a nutshell: a chunk of time set aside for Tai Chi, Aikido, Qigong, Xingyi, and Bagua beginners and die-hards to get together and...play.
It's a chance to connect with the Eugene Internal Arts community, and it's free! Push hands with folks you only get to see at the Asian Celebration or at World Tai Chi and Qigong Day, share forms, techniques, training tips...anything you can think of.
Location: The Natural Arts Center, 240 West 6th Alley. Call or email Jim Madras for more information- 541-579-6663, Jim@NaturalArtsCenter.net.
------------------------------------
This is a good opportunity to show up and play around with some push hands, aikido, what-have-you. Jim's a good guy who knows what he's doing when it comes to Taiji, Bagua, and Hsing Yi. Lemme know if you're planning to go.

Re: October 21st - Internal arts meetup at Natural Arts Center
Wow, I really hate my job sometimes. I really want to go to that, but nobody at work will be willing to cover for me. I think Ric should film the whole thing to show us later.
Har har.
Re: October 21st - Internal arts meetup at Natural Arts Center
I don't think it's going to be any sort of formal instruction or anything, just a bunch of folks messing aruond and trading stuff. This is my guess, anyway.
Ric especially.. Ha.. You missed out. Justin got to get worked over pretty spectacularly at push hands and Jim Madras was good enough to give a few pointers and explanations of his version of Yang style push hands that I think were extremely useful. We also met Elizabeth, the Aikido instructor over there and talked about their particular style for a while. All in all a fun afternoon with some good brothahs and sistahs from other styles. Jim said to get some hints from the rest of our group on days that would be good for another afternoon open session like that and he's try and schedule them for a better turn out next time. So if anyone's got any weekend times that tend to be good, post em here and I'll relay 'em.
