Offer to adopt forums plugin

I emailed the developer of this plugin months ago, sending some improvements I made on this plugin, but never got a response.  I'll have to re-examine the original to actually list the changes I made, but right now I'm currently working on giving users the option of being alerted by email when someone replies to one of their messages.  So, since I never got a response to my original email, figured I'd send this out to the list to see if the author is out there somewhere and also offer to adopt it if they are interested in that.
