Re: FW: Open Source Gaze TrackerYes, sure it wont challenge the competitors, but I've always been excited about this concept for the following reasons:
* 8 cell communication is better than switching (probably) * it could be used for 'context' - i.e. adding information to other input methods - e.g. switching/keyboard access etc... * it could be used with simplified interfaces (e.g. MAAVIS) to provide access to common tasks.... * It is cool! I have scanned the ITU paper - which finds it is comparable to other eyegaze systems, but there are obvious biases in it - well, I would have said, instead, 'it is comparable to other eye gaze systems, without cursor enhancements, when using StarGazer (I would have tried it with Gaze Talk instead too)...'.
