Opening FontForge

Hi

I'm having trouble getting FontForge to run - it starts to open but then closes immediately. I have had it running on my system before, but now will now. As far as I know my X11 is running fine. The icon does one 'bounce' in the dock and then disappears.

I'm on Mac OSX 10.4.11, on a 2 x 2.66ghz Dual-Core Intel Xeon, 4gb memory.

Any pointers as to what might be wrong would be great!
