Hello all,

I am new to GIS application development and GeoTools.
I am planning to develop a GIS system that would allow me to
graphically represents 3D points where the axes are as follows
X-axis: Geographical Latitude
Z-Axis: Geographical Longitude
Y-Axis(vertical): Time

The purpose of the project is to mark geographical location of specific occurences in time.

I understand one of the components needed for this is a PostGIS spatial database.

I want to bypass the time and effort to develop a spatial database. My requirement is pretty basic.
Are there any open source PostGIS(or other spatial DBs compatible with Geotools) db available which
my web application will be able to use.

Thanks in advance.

cheers

Check out the plugins directory for a list of supported databases
(DB2, etc...) and the unsupported directory for a few more (Oracle,
etc...).

There are also some experimental databases taking shape in
unsupported/jdbc-ng (which we would love help testing).
