Our Morning Thought
Its not easy owning and operating a business, especially in times like these. Far too many are struggling to stay aheadto improve their bottom lineto stay solventand to stay out of bankruptcy. Suppliers and venders are calling-they too are struggling. Many of our major banks and financial institutions under went what many called a stress test. There were banks that did well, and there were those that did not fair too well. They failed the stress test. Problems were identifiedand corrections were recommended by our government and all those involved.
Imagine-if you will, lifes stress test. There are those that are passing- and, yes-there are those that are not passing. They are not doing well. Who are they-the ones that are failing-those that are not doing well? They are those that lie in our societal gutters. They are the ones you drive pass each morning on your way to workwhile pretending in mind that they are not there. They are locked in our many prisons-and in our mental institutions (out of sight-out of mind). Many have been forgotten by family and friends. Todays Morning Thought is about themthe forgottenthe dammed, and their plight for survivaland their unattended cries for help. They too are in need of our help. They are our mothers-our fathers-our brothers and sisters, and, our uncles and aunts. Will you help? Will you remember? More importantly-do you hear their cries (the cries of the forgotten)? -Aswad
