Overview contents SPSS add-on modules?Does anyone have an overview of the contents (formulated in syntax commands) of all add-on modules? As I went through my (printed) syntax folder, I made a start with the table I'm looking for but it's obviously (very) far from complete. The point is that my company suspects that we've many redundant licences and for most people (not me!) we could cut down to just Base. Right now, we have
If possible, I'd like to be 100% sure which commands will be discontinued if we'd discard anything but Base. To further complicate the matter, we've some licences for versions 14, 15 and 16. Lots of thanks in advance if anyone could provide some overview!! Ruben van den Berg (First version of my desired table)

Re: Overview contents SPSS add-on modules? One definitive way to answer this question is to go through the Command Syntax Reference. Each command description start by giving the option it is part of if it is not in the base. HTH, Jon Peck SPSS, an IBM Company peck@... 312-651-3435
Dear all (and especially the PASW folks!), Does anyone have an overview of the contents (formulated in syntax commands) of all add-on modules? Re: Overview contents SPSS add-on modules? And it appears that the wording is always in the form "is available in the X option", where X = Regression, for example. So using that to search the document should speed things up for you. --

Re: Overview contents SPSS add-on modules? You might also find it useful to look at:
from the menus, Help > Topics; in the Help window table of contents, Command
Syntax Reference > Introduction: A Guide to Command Syntax. In this
section (and any subsections) you should find a module-by-module list of the
syntax commands. There is also a list of the command syntax release history
from v13 to the present release of the version you’re running.
These release histories also appear in the individual syntax command chapters. Cheers, Alex From: SPSSX(r)

Re: Overview contents SPSS add-on modules?Ah, excellent, you found them in the PDF while
I was composing a response! These are the same tables that are in the
online help. Cheers, Alex From: SPSSX(r)

Behalf Of Ruben van den Berg Thanx! Perhaps an easier
option is copying-pasting the tables on pages 1-15 (CSR 17) into WORD or EXCEL
and then sorting it. Less copying and pasting probably... |
