Try here to start:
http://www.libsdl.org/intro.php

Then go through the other documentation listed in the menu.

Then read the wiki:
http://www.libsdl.org/cgi/docwiki.cgi

After you've done all that, if you have a specific problem, we might
be able to help.

You should know your question probably seems very strange to a lot of
people. This isn't the sort of question that gets asked very often.

Just from using Google and seeing what luvcview, I'm going to wager
that luvcview uses SDL to display the data it acquires from your
webcam!
