Own localised module .jar (Not talking about bundle.prop here)

Hello there,

is it possible to create our own localised module and add it to the platform?

Let's say that I want to localise a part of netbeans to work on a language not yet implemented by the platform.

If I create the module with its bundles etc, when I added it to the correspondent locale folder and then run netbeans the platform crashes 'cause that's not recognise the pre fix of the .jar. (of the type of _es, _de...)

Is it possible to add a new prefix somewhere?

Thanks

Carlos.

Last time, I wrote a blog entry for this problem at
http://blogs.kiyut.com/tonny/2008/08/06/netbeans-platform-localization-as-plugins/

note: it is tested up to Netbeans 6.7.1 and works for me. It is not
yet tested for the upcoming Netbeans 6.8.

Hi Tonny,
thanks for the info.

I'll added the links from your two blogs Netbeans Platform localization and branding trick and Netbeans Platform i18n and localization and also the links to NetBeans (NetBeans TranslatedFiles Project, NetBeans Platform Localization and NetBeans IDE and Platform Localization) to the link-collection in my project homepage MultiLingual in NetBeans (see chapter: Several links around branding and internationalization).

Have a look on MultiLingual with NetBeans 6.7.
10.25.2009: MultiLingual is in the interview "Help for Multilingual NetBeans Platform Applications" with Geertjan Wielenga in NetBeans Zone.

Do you know ABC-List?

Hi Carlos,
in the article NetBeans Platform Speaks Romanian Joseki Bold speaks about localization NetBeans Platform in your own language. Perhaps you can find there more informations about your question?
