PEtALS 2.2 Release

Dear PEtALS Community,

The PEtALS developers team is pleased to announce the release of PEtALS 2.2 pack.

This pack contains :
- petals-kernel-2.2 with first level of transaction and security support, bug fixes...
  We provide this kernel in the Quickstart and Standalone distributions. The platform distribution is coming soon after some enhancements.
- a new Component Development Kit : petals-cdk-4.0
- CDK 4.0 updated components : SOAP (now with REST support), EIP, XSLT, FILETRANSFER.
  The new TCP/IP component is under finalisation. We hope to provide it in the next weeks.
- Updated WebConsole : petals-webconsole-1.2
A more complete release note will be uploaded on the project website next week. For now, you can download all this stuff on the OW2 Forge : http://forge.objectweb.org/project/showfiles.php?group_id=213.

Coming next week: SOAP usecases, more documentation...

Delayed tasks :
- The Eclipse plugin for developers is under development at eBM WebSourcing and is quite ready for its first release, stay tuned!
- The team is wating for Orchestra BPEL 4.0 to provide the BPEL Service Engine 1.0
- The JASMINe integration has been done for PEtALS 2.1. You can check a Flash screencast on the demonstration section (http://petals.ow2.org/demonstrations.html#jasmine_04072008).


We know that we are very late, so please excuse use for this delay. This is due to other exciting projects around PEtALS which will start very soon. More information to come...
The roadmap for 2.3/3.0 is under redaction with lot of new features, I think that we will submit it to get your vote. Do not hesitate do send us your ideas on the developers mailing list : petals-dev@....
