PM discussions on TMTUG okay?

Moderators/all:
Chuck raised a point earlier that was in conflict with my original
understanding of what was "on-topic" here.  My original impression was that
this board was for discussion of all the TSI products and possible competing
products.  Chuck indicated that he interpreted a recent thread on off-topic
discussion to end with the only on-topic discussions are related to the
TroopMaster product. [Chuck - correct me if I mis-understood you] I believe
this post is the basis for Chuck's interpretation:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TMTUG/message/7200 My thinking is the
Troopmaster product and Troopmaster Software Inc.is getting commingled here.

Is a Packmaster topic okay?  If no, maybe the group description should be
edited -

"Description The unofficial user's group for purchasers of TSI's
Troopmaster, Packmaster, and other related software for unit automation.
Join and participate in the exchange of information on how to better utilize
these software products."

I'm just looking for clarification of what's on-topic here. I want to stay
within the bounds of desired discourse. Terse OT warnings are not needed.

Thanks,
Scott

Yes, that is my interpretation of recent posts and responses to posts.

However, it not my opinion of what should be discussed in this group.

Additionally, I am not a moderator of this group so my opinion of what
should, while differing from what I am interpreting, is simply that, my
opinion.

Any off-topic discussion one wishes to have, which is to include me, can be
done in an off-group email thread if you wish.

Remember, A Scout is . Helpful, Courteous, Kind, Cheerful, and the list goes
on.

All -

The description reads "Troopmaster, Packmaster and other related
software"  If we have self-appointed referees at the gate, they are none
of what Chuck posts for us to remember.

As far as the Scout Law - it is an all or nothing proposition.

What is the question on packmaster?

Matt
