I have news to share.
Drew Diller has created a javascript library in problematic IE6. For  
me it is very actual, as I'm still working with this browser.  
So-called "DD belatedPNG" adds PNG support to Internet Explorer 6.0  
that works with background-repeat and background-position. The  
software is absolutely free!
