PRINT, BUT NOT PDF?Hi,
In a word document (Pages, Doc, etc) I can have the option of printing or creating a PDF (among several other options). The same options appear when I'm in 4D and I can print OK, but the PDF file is never produced when the PDF option is chosen. Am I doing something wrong or is it not possible to produce a PDF within 4D? Avoiding 4D's rather flaky inbuilt preview is one of the benefits of running on OS X vs Windows (speed wasn't, but that's another story) Cheers, Craig ********************************************************************** 4D Basics hosted by 4D, Inc. http://www.4D.com/ Register for 4D Summit 2009 Today Early Bird Pricing Ends August 28th - http://www.4D.com/summit To Unsubscribe: mailto:4DBasics-off@... ********************************************************************** |

Re: PRINT, BUT NOT PDF?Hi Craig,
Thanks for responding. I don't think I made myself clear enough. I can produce the pdf on the screen (that is, I can review what is about to be printed), but I want to save it as a file on the desktop and print it at a later date. I use the Print Settings command which brings up the page setup window followed by the options window with the PDF button. This button has several options including SAVE AS PDF ... SAVE AS POSTSCRIPT ... FAX PDF ... Choosing the first option (SAVE AS PDF ... ) doesn't produce a saved file, at least not on my version (using 2004.8 on an iMac intel duo). Re: PRINT, BUT NOT PDF?Hi Craig,
I take it all back. I've just tried it again and it's working. Not sure what I did that was different, but it's OK now. Again, thanks for responding.
