PTK CFAThe PTK team is pleased to announce the openining of the first Call
for Articles (CFA). PTK is an alternative advanced interface for the suite TSK (The Sleuth Kit). PTK was developed from scratch and besides providing the functions already present in Autopsy Forensic Browser, it implements numerous new features essential during forensic activity. We welcome proposals for articles or tutorials on any topic relevant to digital forensics using PTK, including but not limited to: * File system forensics analysis * Tutorials describing how to get started using PTK functionality * Unix artifact analysis * Windows artifact analysis * Integration with 3rd party tool like galetta, pasco, rifiuti. * Memory analysis * Keyword searching and search expression library Articles should include a basic description of the kinds of problems being dealt with. Authors are encouraged to submit high quality articles. Please look carefully at the submission guidelines to prepare your submission (see below); all submissions should be formatted in HTML. Please use the subject "PTK CFA" and include the title of the article, names of the authors, and email address of the primary author (otherwise assumed to be that of the submitter). - Please use the Article Template[1] to ensure that article submissions are in XHTML format. Figures, even present, should be provided with a resolution of at least 300 dpi. - Articles should be written in a magazine style rather than a research paper style. - Please carefully look at the submission guidelines to prepare your submission.
