Parts for Yamaha YS828

I am thinking about scrapping a YS828 snowblower,

I have a YS828 in near perfect condition.... EXCEPT for the carburetor that leaks gas. If your carb doesn't leak I'd buy it. Also if anyone knows where I can get a total rebuild kit please let me know.

You have to be carefull if your carb is leaking and you have a machine with tracks,as the fuel will destroy the track and replacement will be required,this happens more than you would think.
As for the carb, Yamaha do not sell rebuild kits per say. You order the necessary parts as required or replace the carb all together if some of the parts are siezed in.

Thanks! I had heard that about destroying the tracks. After I'm done running it I shut off the fuel supply and put a tin can on the track to catch any extra. This is the year I decided I'm going to fix this once and for all. I have a new Honda 1132 and my old YS828 runs circles around it.

 Do you have a drive disk ?  it's inside the drive shaft housing and drives the wheels it has rubber around the  disk , mine is shot I cant find one anywhere.

Try googling the part number (7KF-46345-00-00) or find an equivalent Honda part number. Maybe this les expensive one will fit:  75010-732-003 DISK, FRICTION $49.98 $39.98

Do you have the plastic fuel tank? Im looking for the plastic tank,mounting hardware and fuel pump. Called yamaha and they said it would fit on my 828TEC. I want to get ride of the metal tank.   Thanks

Tim the Tool Man still needs an engine, the ys828 is still in pieces in the garage and would like to put it all together. A working engine would be nice!!!
