Planet PIGMIHi *,
After reading Eric's email about relevance for listings on Planet PIGMI, I was going to send an email to Simon/Chris, but figured the PIGMI is an open forum - so I'm sending it to the mailing list instead! :) Firstly, I'm just wondering how many people use Planet PIGMI (either by visiting the website, or via RSS subscription) to keep up with what's going on in the Perth game dev scene. Secondly, there are a few feeds that I have difficultly working out how they are connected to PIGMI. J-OMG is an interesting site, but I can't see what it has to do with Perth game dev (from their About page: "I live in Newcastle, Australia") Finally, and this is fairly minor - it would be great to have a skin that supports flash embedding (ala http://planet.onetwenty.org/). I actually made a PIGMI theme for MoonMoon (http://moonmoon.org/)if you guys are interested. ;) Regards, - Nick --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: pigmi-unsubscribe@... Re: Planet PIGMIJust a quick 2 bit call for what blogs should go on PIGMI:
Considering PIGMI is about perth game developers, the blogs on there should at least be related to 2 out of the 3 criteria: Perth gaming, Perth development, and Game development. ;) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: pigmi-unsubscribe@... It's hard to tell from server logs, as many readers will mirror the feed for their clients. Based on an educated guess from server response codes, I'd estimate that their are about 400 unique visits per month, with about 50% recurring visits. > Secondly, there are a few feeds that I have difficultly working out how > they are connected to PIGMI. What if a developer leaves Perth? What if a Perth team has a team member somewhere else? What if a developer is working in WA, but not in Perth? Rather than attempt to answer these questions, I choose not to ask them. :-) > Finally, and this is fairly minor - it would be great to have a skin > that supports flash embedding (ala http://planet.onetwenty.org/). Re: Planet PIGMIMost "planets" aggregate personal blogs of developers related to a
certain project (eg. Gnome), but they generally don't restrict content in any way. - Nick On Thu, 2009-10-22 at 17:32 +0800, Eric Spain wrote: > Just a quick 2 bit call for what blogs should go on PIGMI: > > Considering PIGMI is about perth game developers, the blogs on there > should at least be related to 2 out of the 3 criteria: Perth gaming, > Perth development, and Game development. ;) > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: pigmi-unsubscribe@... > For additional commands, e-mail: pigmi-help@... > --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: pigmi-unsubscribe@...
