Planner-list Task Complete goes to 75% max

Hello,
I am a newbie planner user and have been using it for about a month. I
really like the html export feature.

Recently, I have run into a problem where the task completion cannot be
advanced beyond 75%. I have tried to enter 100% via the keyboard, but it
reverts back to 75%. The arrows to increment the task completion will
not advance beyond 75%. Previously I have been able to mark tasks as
100%.

Planner version is 0.14.3. I recently upgraded to Fedora Core 9 from
Core 7. I started the project on the planner installed via Core 7. I do
not know the previous version. Does anyone have any ideas on what may be
going on with the task completion?

It doesn't ring any bells.

Are there any error messages printed if you start planner from a
terminal window and try to increase the completion to 100%?

If not, can you upload the .planner file somewhere?
If you don't have an easy way to put it online, please submit a bug
report at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/browse.cgi?product=planner and
attach the .planner file to the bug.

Regards,
Maurice.

Maurice,

Thanks for the reply. This is the only item printed on the console. It
occurs when I edit the field, i.e. delete 75 and enter 100.

(planner:4796): atk-bridge-WARNING **: failure: no device event
controller found.

Peter F

That's probably unrelated. Could you put the .planner file online or
send it to me?

Maurice.

I've looked at the planner file you sent me, but I've been unable to
reproduce the problem.

A few more questions:
- Does the problem occur with all tasks?
I see some of the tasks in the file already have a completion > 75%
- Does the problem occur with newly created files?
- Do none of the ways of changing completion work:
  * dragging completion in the gantt chart?
  * using the "Edit task properties" dialog?
  * enabling the "% Complete" column next to the gantt chart and editing
    there?

Regards,
Maurice.

Maurice,

Yes, some of the tasks were marked 100% before this issue appeared. I
have not been successful with incrementing any task. Try task #25
Vacation August.

I could not get beyond 75% when using the "Edit task properties" dialog.
I was unaware that the completion could be dragged. Dragging the
completion to 100% seems to work, but the "Edit task properties" dialog
still shows 75% complete.

I have not figured out how to enable the task complete column.

This may be related to the Fedora 9 upgrade from 7. I have had some
other problems. I am going to do a fresh install of Fedora 9 on another
disk and see if the issue still exists.

Regards,
Peter F

Hello Maurice,

I did a fresh install of Fedora 9 and the issue has disappeared. It was
somehow related to the upgrade of Fedora from 7 to 9.

Thank you for your time and I could not have determined this without
your help.

BTW: do you know how to get the html exported Gantt chart to display
months and the current day line versus just weeks? I tried exporting it
with the month on the page, but the output only has weeks on it.

Regards,

Peter F

That's good to hear, you're welcome.

That's not possible yet. See:
