Simple question: does anybody already work on a port of FOX to Haiku (
BeOS type )?

Sorry about that.  Maybe the next best thing is a FOX haiku:

On many platform
Fleet of foot like its namesake
Coders ecstatic

(I'm sure you can do better :-)

Either my humor center is a bit frozen right now or that has not been too funny. That has been a serious question since Haiku-OS is getting in a shape where it makes sense to port FOX ( besides me using it so I've got my interest :P ).

Ouch. I thought that given the constraint of writing a haiku about a
cross-platform graphical user interface toolkit, he did about as well
as could be expected.

An interesting note from the Haiku OS FAQ [1] is that BeOS included
some haiku in its user interface, in the form of network error
messages displayed by its web browser. I might need to set up a VM to
play with Haiku.

There are indeed some strange messages found in that system. It's definitely worth tickling around with a VM there. Still has lots of work left to do but the current alpha image works not so bad.
