Hello

The link of "Windows installer (Octave and Octave-Forge)"  http://octave.sourceforge.net/ still points
to the previos version of octave 3.2.2 /mingw32.

Please update it to

http://sourceforge.net/projects/octave/files/Octave_Windows%20-%20MinGW/Octave%203.2.3%20for%20Windows%20MinGW32%20Installer/Octave-3.2.3-3_i686-pc-mingw32_gcc4.4.0_setup.exe/download

Regards

Tatsuro

Fixed.

Thanks and sorry for the slow reply

Would it be an option to let the link point to the
mingw-folder of sourceforge's files page instead
of pointing it to a specific file directly?
This would save the step ofchanging the link every
time a new file is uploaded.

Personally, I like that the user only have to click on the link on the
front page to start the download. I'm afraid that some users will have a
hard time browsing the SourceForge files-page.

That being said, I agree that we have a problem with the current
approach. It's simply too error-prone to manually update the link all
the time. I don't know if SourceForge provides some mechanism for
dealing with this.

Hmm, I don't know either. I'm happy I find my way though uploading
something.
Is it possible for me to update the link on the project's front page?
Then I'd not need to bother you every time ...

That said, can you please update the link to point to the -r2 binary?
I deleted the old buggy one, so the link's dead.

thanks
benjamin

Yes, you should have the needed rights. You can get a secure shell to
the web server by running

  ssh -t lindnerb,octave@... create

(yes the syntax is irregular). From there you

  cd /home/groups/o/oc/octave/htdocs

and you are now in the directory with the html files. Just edit
'index.html' to change the link.

You go ahead and do it :-)
