Poll moduleHi, dear Magnolians! I'm Java/J2EE/Flex-developer from Moscow. I didn't like your poll module - so, I wrote my own as i was need it :) It was my first experience in working with Magnolia. I liked it ;) I used your Forum-module as a basis for my code. Now I have pretty voting module and would like to share it with community. What should I do for that? I can send you sources/builds/whatever :). Maybe you won't like it - who knows... But if you will - I'd be glad to provide my solution AS IS for everyone who needs it. -- Best regards, Kanischev Albert aka Kaa Center of Open Systems and High Technologies, Moscow mailto: kaa@... Re: Poll moduleMany thanks in advanced. Please see the answers inline. > Hi, dear Magnolians! > I'm Java/J2EE/Flex-developer from Moscow. > I didn't like your poll module It was never our master peace ;-) and hence was never released nor bundled. > - so, I wrote my own as i was need > it :) > It was my first experience in working with Magnolia. You have several options: A) contribute it to us and we will host it here (svn, jira) - you would most likely get commit rights to that module - you had to sign the contributor agreement [1] - the project might become the successor of the current poll module B) publish the module independently (on sourceforge for instance) - please update our module overview wiki page [2] C) put your code into our community wiki - this is probably an intermediate thing but allows to share your work and get some feedback - is probably the first step in case A) is an option [1] http://documentation.magnolia-cms.com/contribute/license.html [2] http://wiki.magnolia-cms.com/display/WIKI/List+of+Magnolia+Modules > Maybe you won't like it - who knows... Lets see. We are quite open. > But if you will - I'd be glad to provide my solution AS IS for > everyone who needs it. You are very welcome.
