http://www.postdocjobs.comOur group has recently created a whole mouse cryo-imaging system which
gives 100+GB, micron-scale images of a whole mouse with single cell
sensitivity for fluorescently labeled cells. There are a multitude of
exciting new applications in stem cells, cancer, nano-drug delivery,
assessment of disease, and quantitative image quality. We are faced
with a multitude of image processing, analysis, and visualization
problems. For example, we have recently created a multi-scale viewing
program which allows us to view the entire data set on the screen and
zoom down to even a single cell. Persons will be expected to publish
papers and assist on research proposals. We are principally seeking
post doctoral researchers with a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering,
electrical engineering, or computer science. Experience with image
analysis, animal experiments, optical imaging, and/or medical imaging
technologies are a plus. However, we will consider very strong,
determined candidates with other PhD training who want to learn about
these important new technologies.
